Jacquelyn Clark

Jacquelyn Clark is a Research Services Senior Professional, Firearms Industry Partnership Coordinator in the Department of Emergency Medicine. She is also the Founder and Co-Owner of Bristlecone Shooting, Training & Retail Center in Lakewood, Colorado. Bristlecone is a start-up, family-owned business that is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team, Jacquelyn and Bryan Clark.
As a recreational shooter for the past 17 years, Jacquelyn discovered very few indoor shooting ranges where the focus was placed on the recreational experience when she moved to Colorado in 2013. What’s more, she saw that many of the private Denver-area ranges had prohibitively long waiting lists. Instead of fighting the system, she and her husband Bryan decided to work with it by creating their own ideal shooting environment.
Founded in 2013, Bristlecone opened its’ doors to the public in January 2015. Bristlecone’s Mission Statement is:
“To be Denver’s premier indoor shooting range, training, and retail center by providing An Extraordinary Recreational Experience for shooting enthusiasts of all levels. Bristlecone Shooting, Training & Retail Center is known for top-rate, safe facilities, first-class retail, exceptional customer service delivered by knowledgeable staff, as well as an unmatched dedication to the education, training, and development of our guests.”

Bristlecone Shooting, Training & Retail Center was awarded the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s highest rating of 5 Stars in 2017, was voted Best Indoor Shooting Range in Denver by Westword in 2021 and continues to operate and grow successfully in Lakewood Colorado. Jacquelyn has been involved in injury and suicide prevention work in Colorado since 2016 through the Colorado Firearms Safety Coalition. She has been involved in a number of research initiatives surrounding The Gun Shop Project, and successfully launched VetStore at Bristlecone in collaboration with the University of Colorado and the VA.

Jacquelyn’s prior professional experience includes 7 years as a member of the Executive Team for a $35 Million company, as well as experience in business development and accounting for mid-size and Fortune 300 companies. She is a Certified Pistol Instructor, a Certified Defensive Firearms Coach, and is an active contributor to the Colorado Firearms Safety Coalition. Jacquelyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from The Pennsylvania State University.
